My mother and I had been through a lot, ever since my father died. At a young age, I learned on how to be responsible and be more considerate towards other people. I also helped with the chores around the house so that my mother would be able to focus on doing her work without any interruptions. In the past, my mom tried her best to find a job to support me but it wasn’t easy. She was forced to sell diamond ring that was given to her by my father, when they got married. I know that it was probably the hardest thing that she ever did since my father died and there was nothing that I can do about it.

I promised myself that I will study hard so that I can get a job as soon as I finish my education and make her life more comfortable. Whenever I start to lose hope when I am facing a challenge, I always remember the time when my mother sell wedding ring for my sake and that alone is enough to keep me going.
