We decided to spend the summer in the seaside cottage of my aunt which has been left unoccupied for several years now.  SI knew that the house was very well kept because of Laura the housekeeper often came to clean it.

We were so excited for vacation to come and when it did, we all prepped ourselves to spend the day by the sea.  However when we reached the cottage, we noticed that some of the fixtures have developed rust spots around it.  It was inevitable for the salty air does have an effect on them.  But we knew that it was nothing that we could not clean.  We immediately went back to the town to buy some rust removal products that were available in the local hardware store. 

We spent the afternoon cleaning the fixtures although there were really stubborn spots that we had the difficulty of cleaning.  So it was off to search for another product to clean it.  I remembered reading about evapo-rust in one of the motorcycle magazines that I subscribe to.  I went online to search for it and purchased a few bottles for our use.  We spend time on the beach the next few days while waiting for it to arrive. The moment the package arrived, we set on cleaning the remaining stubborn rust spots and voila! It came off easily! We spent rest of our vacation enjoying the beach without worrying about the house.
