The guy selling old silver coins in the mall has some really valuable rare ones that are worth thousands. I have stopped and talked to him a few times and he tells me that a lot of times people will bring him coins not knowing what they are worth and he makes them a good deal and they sell coins to him for pennies on the dollar.

I know that he also is selling old silver coins on the internet on some of the auction sites and making tons of money. Some of those are from his collection and some are from the rare coins that people sell to him. It is always interesting to listen to his stories and look at the collections he has compiled over the years. I remember him telling me that he was called into a pawn shop in the city to help them determine if they should buy a collection from a guy who swore it was worth over ten thousand dollars.

If I were going to sell coins to people and be good at it, I would model my business after the guy in the mall. He is interesting and he really knows what he is talking about.
