We went to the local home show and there must have been at least two hundred different contractors there. We knew that we needed to find a good roofer and set out to do some interviewing on the residential roofing companies that were at this home show. I had written a list of questions down that we wanted to ask, so that we would not forget any of them.

We came to the conclusion that most of the residential roofing companies that were there, were about the same with their answers but we scheduled three estimates to see how they compared with their pricing.

The next thing on our list after the roof was to find a good siding company to come out and install vinyl siding on our home that still had the old wood siding on it. I had been painting it about every four to five years, and I had decided to just cover it with vinyl and have a maintenance free exterior. We only found about four siding company booths at the home show, and set up estimates for two of them to come out and look at the house. I was glad that we took the time to visit the home show, it seems that a lot of reputable companies were there.
